🐣 Adopt Me is one of the most popular games on Roblox — a pet adoption and trading experience where players hatch eggs, raise pets, and trade with millions of other players around the world.
Adopt Me is a Roblox game developed by Uplift Games. Players start out in a bright, colourful world where they take on the role of either a parent or a baby. The core gameplay loop is simple: earn in-game currency called Bucks, spend those Bucks on eggs, hatch the eggs to obtain pets, then care for those pets to help them grow.
What makes the game so compelling — and so enduring — is the trading system. Because every pet has a rarity and every variant of that pet has a different desirability level, a rich economy of pet trading has developed. Players spend countless hours acquiring pets they want and trading away ones they don't.
Eggs are the primary way to obtain new pets. Different eggs have different hatch pools — a list of pets that can come out of them, each with a stated probability. Rarity tiers range from Common (highest probability) all the way up to Legendary (very low probability). Limited eggs tied to seasonal events are no longer available, meaning the pets inside them can only be obtained through trading.
When you hatch an egg, the result is random. You might get a Common pet nine times in a row before seeing an Ultra-Rare. This randomness drives demand for trading — players who want a specific pet often find it easier to trade for one than to hatch endlessly.
Once you have a pet, you need to care for it to make it grow. Pets have needs — hunger, thirst, rest, and fun — that you satisfy by completing tasks around the game world. Each completed task earns the pet experience and moves it through its six age stages: Newborn → Junior → Pre-Teen → Teen → Post-Teen → Full Grown.
Reaching Full Grown is important because it unlocks a special mechanic: the ability to fuse pets at the Neon Cave. Combining four identical Full Grown pets creates a glowing Neon pet — and combining four Neon pets creates a spectacular Mega Neon pet.
Trading is where most players spend the majority of their time. The official in-game trade screen lets two players propose a swap, add their items, and both confirm before anything changes hands. Trades are irreversible once both sides accept, so understanding what you're trading is important.
Because pets can be upgraded with Fly Potions and Ride Potions — turning a Normal pet into a Fly-Ride (FR) or eventually a Neon Fly-Ride (NFR) — there's a whole vocabulary around pet variants that any trader quickly needs to learn.
Because rare Adopt Me pets hold real-world value, many players use trusted third-party platforms like Pet Bakery to buy, sell, and trade pets for real money.
